Parrots would normally be exposed to branches of various sizes, widths, and orientations. Therefore, the perches you provide should mimic these natural conditions as much as possible allowing your Parrot the opportunity to choose what may be most comfortable to them at that time in the day. A variety of perches stimulates the muscles and can help prevent foot problems such as arthritis, tendonitis, atrophy or pressure sores from developing. We recommend a minimum of three different types of perches such as a rope perch, a comfortable wood perch and a pedicure perch. Pedicure perches should only be used next to food bowls and the highest perch should be the most comfortable as it will most likely be used for roosting.
