Remember when you actually found a real toy in the Cracker Jacks box? Even if it was a small plastic trinket it made us feel like we won a prize. Just think how your Parrots feel when they discover a soft chewy piece of wood or a string that they can preen inside their foraging box. It doesn't have to always be food to get the feel-good sensation of revealing a reward. That's right, it's not about keeping them busy or making them work. It's all about the emotional benefit of foraging. 

Our Bits & Pieces bag has plenty of leftover parts from our workshop.  We never throw anything away since our Parrots really don't care if that piece of wood is broken in half or the leather rope is too short for any of our toys.  Add the Bits & Pieces to our Foraging Boxes with some Fun Paper Refill and watch how excited they get with each discovery.

Each bag may contain broken or short pieces of pinecone, pine wood slats, balsa wood, jute rope, supreme cotton rope, Paulie Rope, Paper Rope, leather rope, cardboard bits, raffia, dried (non-GMO) corn, (non-GMO) crushed corn, hardwood shapes, paper doilies, plastic animal straws, etc.

The Blockbuster is designed for smaller Cockatoos who love chewing wood. The blocks of wood are approximately 3" by 1-1/2" and 1/2" thick. It holds 30 blocks and the same for cardboard dividers. If you don't like coloured wood we can custom make this toy with all natural wooden blocks.

Our Bloomers are just in time for spring foraging. There is plenty of space to hide pellets.  Each set of mini cups has a foam marshmallow and grapevine wreath to help hold pellets or treats and offer a great crunch. Colours vary.

This BuzzBee balsa toy is almost all-natural.  Small wooden washers add just a bit of colour.  There is lots of leather added to help your Parrot strengthen their beak.  Balsa is always a great chew for most Parrots, large or small especially those that have problems chewing harder wood.

They come with one of six colour washers.

For those not familiar with Balsa wood, it is a very soft, pithy wood with a stringy grain.  It is grown in plantations, mostly in Ecuador.  Although classified as a hardwood, its soft nature means it grows extremely fast.  It's been used in the manufacture of model airplanes, skis, and surfboards for years.  Balsa is so soft that it shreds more than splinters.  When balsa is torn up, the small pieces are not sharp or needle-like as with other types of hardwood species.  Balsa is listed in wood industry guidelines as Non-Toxic.

This bath is shallow and perfect for smaller Parrots.  It hold about 5 ounces of water.  Use it as a bath or food.

Here is a perfect toy for lazy chewers.  They can peel the bagels and chew soft balsa easily.  This is ideal for larger Parrots from African Greys to Macaws.  Soft yummy Balsa has been tucked into Birdie Bites allowing this toy to last longer than other balsa toys. 

The Cholla Forager is a fun, natural, and unique toy. This foraging toy is made out of Teddy Bear Cholla, pinewood, and hemp rope. The Cholla Forager is also a tough chew with holes in the natural cholla that will allow the tip of the beak to grab hold and chip away. The centre of the large cholla piece is hollow and trimmed with coarse desert pinewood disks but not before adding a whole peanut inside.

This is a terrific chain to attach to the inside or outside bars of the cage.  It's also useful to use as links and prevent the paint surface from chipping by using metal link.

The classic Accordion is just for the holidays.  It has long and short pieces of red and green coloured wood slats strung on a nickel plate chain.  of chewable wood.

The Cob 'n Rocker is an Amazon favourite and designed for your wild one.

It has lots of room for two small to medium sized Parrots.  This toy has 11 feet of leather strung through the large Wooden Spools and Drilled Dried Corn.  They can perch on the wooden spools or hang from them while chewing the corn off the cob or chipping away at the many round wood disks and ABC Wood Blocks.  Most of the parts can be replaced to extend the life of this toy that will surely be a huge hit.  It is strung by the leather ties and attaches to the cage with colourful Aluminium Wide Quick Links.

These Coco Stars are made from coconut shells.  They make great talon toys as most are fibrous and enticing to shred.  You can also drill a hole to string them onto toys.  The package contains 12 stars.

The Coconut Craze is one of our most popular toys. It is filled with bits of leather, paper rope, chewy wood, a nubby, shredded paper, vine ball, and finished off with curly straws, plastic wheel and colourful bell.  It can be used as a foraging toy over and over again.
