There are a lot of places where you can buy or adopt Parrots but they are not all equal, and it can be a challenge to find what you’re looking for. We encourage experienced Parrot guardians to consider adopting from a registered rescue. For the inexperienced, or anyone who has something specific in mind, breeders can have detailed and useful information about the species they breed. They should offer a warranty period where the Parrot can be returned if a vet determines it to be in poor health.
