Or you can add more to the box such as a treat or two or bits of broken toys for shredding.  These small box toys are always a hit with most small to large Parrots from Lovebirds right up to African Greys.  They love the chewy Coral Reef Critters that trim the box and get excited when they discover the prize inside when tearing into the box.

The Itty Bitty is a wonderful shreddable toy for smaller Parrots such as Green Cheek Conures, Lovebirds or Parakeets. It has a vine cone filled in and around with soft wood slats, wood flowers, cardboard and a bit of leather all stung on paper rope with a pear link for securing to the cage bars.  This is a very popular toy for little ones.

This highly interactive foraging toy provides continuous entertainment for Parrots and their human companions.  The Carousel bracket mounts on the side of the cage.  It is a six inches cross and contains four 2 inch square boxes with lids.  Each box open differently and the entire device spins freely on the bracket.

Your Parrot will spin the Carousel until the box containing the preferred treat is found.  They must learn how to open the lid so that they can retrieve the food.  Add different food items such as nuts, fruit, pellets to the individual boxes.  Try hiding certain items in shredded paper or add a colourful wooden chew block in one of the boxes.

Get your young Parrot In the Groove. This toy has been designed to entice younger Parrots to chew on wood and forage for treats. It has nice thin slats plus 2-1/4" grooved wood square, honeycomb cubes to hide their treat, and a few foam flowers for shredding all strung on paper rope. Horseshoes Anyone? is loaded with small balsa squares, separated by mini plastic daisies to make it easier for smaller Parrots to chew the wood.  It hangs by a plastic loop intended to attach to two cage bars on the side of the cage right by their favourite perch.  The smaller Parrots love their balsa.

These are colourful plastic tubes that can be used on small to medium-sized toys.  They are slightly longer than other heavy-duty tubes.and are available in bright solid colours.

This Small Aglet Heaven Shoelace toy will keep your feathered family member busy for hours! Great for pluckers and over-preeners.  Aglets are shoelace tips and this toy is loaded up with them, all up and down the coloured shoelaces that dangle from a ring.  It will be beak pleasing fun and sure to be a favourite in your Parrot's collection of toys. It comes with a coloured shoelace loop for hanging purposes.

New convenient 26 watt fluorescent compact bulb that provides UVA and UVB light for small Parrots.  The lower Kelvin of these bulbs significantly reduce the risk of cateracts that are often caused by the high Kelvin reptile lights being sold as avian lighting.

In nature, having a UV receptor may give a bird an advantage when foraging for food; UV reflectance and absorption by different fruits may advertise their presence. Females are attracted to males that show their brightest UV reflectance, so having UV vision can serve as a useful indicator of the health of a mate.  Help your Parrots see more with the HARI Avian Light.  It benefits the 4-cone receptors in avian vision to detect a broader palate of colours and perceive UV colours invisible to the human eye.

Swinging Paddles on this toy will keep your Parrot entertained. Brightly colored ice cream sticks and colourful beads alternate on a ring and hung by chain.  This fun toy is perfect for keeping your smaller Parrot active, and promotes exploration as well as instinctive activities such as chewing.

Make your own perches with these low cost hanger bolts.  Prepare your wood by spraying with alcohol and letting it dry under bright sunlight.  The natural sunlight is a disinfectant.  Please boil your wood for a sufficient length of time to remove all bark if it has been taken from an area where the wood may have been exposed to raccoons.  Raccoons carry a deadly virus that if transferred to your Parrot will cause death.
