The Toy Making class is almost entirely hands on and students work in groups of 4. This session begins with the use of tools and techniques for working with a variety of materials, includng some tricks used for making toys. You will be shown examples of various toy structures to help make it easy to design your own toy. The students are provided with a toy base and tools to practice cutting chain and bending metal rings to begin making a toy. A selection of materials that can be used to build your own toy will be displayed. Student will sketch the toy they want to make to share with others in the class. During the break everyone can select the materials they've chosen to assemble their toy.

Everyone will go home with a new toy! There is limited seating for the toy making session so register early. This class begins at 11 am and is approximately 2 hours long.
