Calcium and iodine deficiencies are common in many Parrots because these vital nutrients are lacking in standard diets.  This Iodine Block contains essential minerals missing in seed diets and helps prevent mineral deficiencies.  Fortified with calcium and phosphorous,  Iodine Block is a complementary pet food that is beneficial for all Parrots on a seed only dieet.

Iodine Block helps in the prevention of brittle bones (lack of calcium), enlarged thyroid in budgies (iodine deficiency), egg-binding (lack of calcium), and tremors.

This highly interactive foraging toy provides continuous entertainment for Parrots and their human companions.  The Carousel bracket mounts on the side of the cage.  It is a six inches cross and contains four 2 inch square boxes with lids.  Each box open differently and the entire device spins freely on the bracket.

Your Parrot will spin the Carousel until the box containing the preferred treat is found.  They must learn how to open the lid so that they can retrieve the food.  Add different food items such as nuts, fruit, pellets to the individual boxes.  Try hiding certain items in shredded paper or add a colourful wooden chew block in one of the boxes.

Get your young Parrot In the Groove. This toy has been designed to entice younger Parrots to chew on wood and forage for treats. It has nice thin slats plus 2-1/4" grooved wood square, honeycomb cubes to hide their treat, and a few foam flowers for shredding all strung on paper rope. This toy is also recommended for gentle chewers.

This Small Aglet Heaven Shoelace toy will keep your feathered family member busy for hours! New convenient 26 watt fluorescent compact bulb that provides UVA and UVB light for small Parrots.  The lower Kelvin of these bulbs significantly reduce the risk of cateracts that are often caused by the high Kelvin reptile lights being sold as avian lighting.

In nature, having a UV receptor may give a bird an advantage when foraging for food; UV reflectance and absorption by different fruits may advertise their presence. Females are attracted to males that show their brightest UV reflectance, so having UV vision can serve as a useful indicator of the health of a mate.  Help your Parrots see more with the HARI Avian Light.  It benefits the 4-cone receptors in avian vision to detect a broader palate of colours and perceive UV colours invisible to the human eye.

Make your own perches with these low cost hanger bolts.  Prepare your wood by spraying with alcohol and letting it dry under bright sunlight.  The natural sunlight is a disinfectant.  Please boil your wood for a sufficient length of time to remove all bark if it has been taken from an area where the wood may have been exposed to raccoons.  Raccoons carry a deadly virus that if transferred to your Parrot will cause death.

Red Palm Oil is made from the naturally orange-coloured pulp of the Red Palm fruit. It provides natural precursors to Vitamin A and Vitamin E, along with fatty acids, heart-healthy co-enzymes, and antioxidants.  Each bottle or jug is good for 1 year from opening.  Be sure to enter the date on the label so you know when it is beyond the best-before date.  A 1-liter bottle is enough for a medium size Parrot such as an Eclectus or African Grey.
