Here is one of our latest little Doble toys that can be given as a talon toy, hanging toy, or as we intended a skewer toy.  This one is made with small Balsa squares layered like taffy for successful chewing.  Colours vary.

Now available in a package of 50, these Balsa Rectangles are super thin and a big hit with smaller Parrots from Conures on down. They have rounded corners to make them more challenging and can be used to replenish our Cylcone toy.

This toy Is loaded with Balsa Slices wrapped in colourful corrugated paper and strung by paper rope.  It's a great chew for small Parrots or larger Parrots that have problems chewing harder wood.

For those not familiar with Balsa wood, it is a very soft, pithy wood with a stringy grain.  It is grown in plantations, mostly in Ecuador.  Although classified as a hardwood, its soft nature means it grows extremely fast.  It's been used in the manufacture of model airplanes, skis, and surfboards for years.  Balsa is so soft that it shreds more than splinters.  When balsa is torn up, the small pieces are not sharp or needle-like as with other types of hardwood species.  Balsa is listed in wood industry guidelines as Non-Toxic.
