The Hand Tools are designed for the mechanically inclined.  Large wooden alphabet blocks on a stainless steel rod are held in place by stainless steel hex and wing nuts. The stainless steel washers add a clanking sound for extra fun.  ABC Wood Blocks are available to replenish.

A perfect softwood toy for large Parrots with compromised beaks or delicate chewers.

This toy has a heavy chain with hardwood beads and chunky raw cork bark separated by Balsa Slices all finished off with a bell at the bottom.  This is a very large toy that can be refilled with more Balsa Slices and cork. It is an excellent choice for larger Parrots that have problems chewing harder wood.

For those not familiar with Balsa wood, it is a very soft, pithy wood with a stringy grain.  It is grown in plantations, mostly in Ecuador.  Although classified as a hardwood, its soft nature means it grows extremely fast.  It's been used in the manufacture of model airplanes, skis, and surfboards for years.  Balsa is so soft that it shreds more than splinters.  When balsa is torn up, the small pieces are not sharp or needle-like as with other types of hardwood species.  Balsa is listed in wood industry guidelines as Non-Toxic.

Chewing is an instinct that promotes good beak health.  Parrots that are deprived of chewing materials may experience overgrown or malformed beaks.  If your Parrot is known to ingest parts of chewed-up toys then it may be best to refrain from the introduction.  Although balsa gets even softer when wet, it's still not food.  ANY TOY that may be possibly ingested should be introduced under supervision.  Keep in mind that most Parrots merely break up wood and allow the bits and pieces to fall to the bottom of the cage.  Their instinct is to create nesting materials or soft bedding.  Parrots evolved in the jungle with lots of trees.  They KNOW what to do with them. Balsa is one of very few woods that are chewable by Smaller Parrots.  It's a simple fact that harder wood is used in many toys to increase their useful life.  Harder woods, even pine, are difficult if not impossible for the little guys or Parrots with compromised beaks to destroy.  While this is good for pet owners it is a bit "at odds" with the Parrots' needs.

Colourful pine wood triangles support balsa cubes.  This is a delightful toy for Conures that are graduating from balsa to pine.  And of coarse, it would be not be complete without a liberty bell.

They each have one colour mixed with natural wood.  Colours include Pink, Blue, Yellow, Orange or Green.

The Cholla Forager is a fun, natural, and unique toy. This foraging toy is made out of Teddy Bear Cholla, pinewood, and hemp rope. The Cholla Forager is also a tough chew with holes in the natural cholla that will allow the tip of the beak to grab hold and chip away. The centre of the large cholla piece is hollow and trimmed with coarse desert pinewood disks but not before adding a whole peanut inside.

The Coconut Craze is one of our most popular toys. It is filled with bits of leather, paper rope, chewy wood, a nubby, shredded paper, vine ball, and finished off with curly straws, plastic wheel and colourful bell.  It can be used as a foraging toy over and over again.  

This  Corkscrew  refill kit is ideal for anyone who is not so handy making their Parrot's toys and perfect for Parrots that love chewing wood.  Each triangle slips onto the Corkscrew and can be separated by wooden beads to make them more enticing.  This kit can also be strung on Paper Rope, Stainless Steel, or Parrot Safe wire.

Our version of a Bento Box do need a treat or two added to the scrap leather and pine cone hidden inside.  This is a favourite with medium to large Parrots.  They love the surprises they get when tearing into the box.

Some Parrots will use it to clean off their beaks after eating. The fleece is washable by gently cleaning by hand with mild soap and water.  We prefer if you simply wiped clean occasionally after food bits are dry to maintain firm fibres.

The clear Tumbler satisfies any Parrot's foraging needs.  The flower-like curves hold pellets.  Your Parrot will learn to spin the toy to make pellets fall into the transparent tube at the bottom.

The Hideout is a favourite play area that can be used in or out of the cage.  This Hideout has tons of coloured wood blocks and "unpolished" cotton rope.  It is made with stainless steel wire, hardware, and nickel plate chain and link. It has an applewood X-shaped perch, and many strands of beads on Paulie Rope for your Parrot to play with while they are sitting inside.  This would make a great place for your Parrot to play, hang out, or snuggle up and go to sleep !!  The Large has lots of room for Amazons, African Greys, Eclectus, and smaller Cockatoos. 

This highly interactive foraging toy provides continuous entertainment for Parrots and their human companions.  The Carousel bracket mounts on the side of the cage.  It is a six inches cross and contains four 2 inch square boxes with lids.  Each box open differently and the entire device spins freely on the bracket.

Your Parrot will spin the Carousel until the box containing the preferred treat is found.  They must learn how to open the lid so that they can retrieve the food.  Add different food items such as nuts, fruit, pellets to the individual boxes.  Try hiding certain items in shredded paper or add a colourful wooden chew block in one of the boxes.
