Here is one of our latest little Doble toys that can be given as a talon toy, hanging toy, or as we intended a skewer toy.  This one is made with Balsa cubes and wafers with small vine rings for successful chewing.  Colours vary.

Our Balsa Arch is layered with foam flowers, balsa, and small cardboard rectangles that hangs by a plastic chain supporting a little cowbell.  The smaller Parrots such as Green Cheek Conures love everything with bells and can not resist the balsa.  Little beaks of Budgies, Linnies, and Parrotlets will love the added texture of the foam flowers.  Lovebirds will go for the little cardboard rectangles first.  Most smaller Parrots, even those that seldom play with toys, will love this one.

The Balsa Buddy offers lots of crunch.  It has a yucca base with vine balls and balsa strung out.  You can tuck treat in the vine balls or add holes for treats in the yucca base.   It is easy and challenging for smaller Parrots, offering great satisfaction.

A perfect softwood toy for large Parrots with compromised beaks or delicate chewers.

This toy has a heavy chain with hardwood beads and chunky raw cork bark separated by Balsa Slices all finished off with a bell at the bottom.  This is a very large toy that can be refilled with more Balsa Slices and cork. It is an excellent choice for larger Parrots that have problems chewing harder wood.

For those not familiar with Balsa wood, it is a very soft, pithy wood with a stringy grain.  It is grown in plantations, mostly in Ecuador.  Although classified as a hardwood, its soft nature means it grows extremely fast.  It's been used in the manufacture of model airplanes, skis, and surfboards for years.  Balsa is so soft that it shreds more than splinters.  When balsa is torn up, the small pieces are not sharp or needle-like as with other types of hardwood species.  Balsa is listed in wood industry guidelines as Non-Toxic.

Chewing is an instinct that promotes good beak health.  Parrots that are deprived of chewing materials may experience overgrown or malformed beaks.  If your Parrot is known to ingest parts of chewed-up toys then it may be best to refrain from the introduction.  Although balsa gets even softer when wet, it's still not food.  ANY TOY that may be possibly ingested should be introduced under supervision.  Keep in mind that most Parrots merely break up wood and allow the bits and pieces to fall to the bottom of the cage.  Their instinct is to create nesting materials or soft bedding.  Parrots evolved in the jungle with lots of trees.  They KNOW what to do with them. Balsa is one of very few woods that are chewable by Smaller Parrots.  It's a simple fact that harder wood is used in many toys to increase their useful life.  Harder woods, even pine, are difficult if not impossible for the little guys or Parrots with compromised beaks to destroy.  While this is good for pet owners it is a bit "at odds" with the Parrots' needs.

Soft yummy Balsa has been wrapped in a cardboard blanket.  This is a favourite with most smaller and medium size Parrots.

This Birdy Bagel has lots of balsa blocks and wood beads suspended from it. The balsa wood will be enjoyed by your smaller Parrots.  It also has decorative beads on top. They can also peel the Birdy Bagel that supports this toy.  This is a favourite with Green Cheek Conures.

Our Bloomers are just in time for spring foraging. There is plenty of space to hide pellets.  Each set of mini cups has a foam marshmallow and grapevine wreath to help hold pellets or treats and offer a great crunch. Colours vary.

Bottoms Up is a colourful waffle paper and fibre cup shreddable toy, complete with a nickel plated bell, for medium to small Parrots.

This little Doble toy is perfect for starting smaller Parrots with foraging. Simply drop a few seeds in the top hole of the Honeycomb boxes. The Honeycomb boxes are so enticing, with all the jagged edges for your Parrot to chew.

Here's the latest variation of the ORIGINAL popular Piñata shredding toy, Like all these Piñata it is densely stuffed with palm leaf straw, grass and abacca fibers.

This is a terrific chain to attach to the inside or outside bars of the cage.  It's also useful to use as links and prevent the paint surface from chipping by using metal link.

This totally shreddable toy will be enjoyed by your small and medium size Parrots such as Green Cheek Conures and Meyers Parrots.  Even my Parrotlet loves the corn husk in this toy.  There is space to tuck a treat in with the corn husks to make this a foraging toy.

The bright colourful Cornfest is an alternative version of our Cob 'n Rocker designed for smaller Parrots who can perch on the wooden spools while devouring the kernels of corn.  Although it is perfect for smaller Parrots from Budgies to Senegals, African Greys and similar-size Parrots love it as well. It has some leather washers and flowers, cardboard bits, wooden washers, wooden beehive beads, and paper rope all strung by nickel plate pear links.  The Drilled Corn can be replaced to extend the life of this toy.  It will surely be a huge hit.  Simply adjust the paper rope to the desired length and tighten up on the pear links.

Some Parrots will use it to clean off their beaks after eating. The fleece is washable by gently cleaning by hand with mild soap and water.  We prefer if you simply wiped clean occasionally after food bits are dry to maintain firm fibres.
