The use of a light source that mimics the natural UV content of sunlight has recognized health benefits, and provides Parrots with a more natural view of their surroundings, encouraging natural behaviour and in many cases improved breeding results.  Unlike normal fluorescent lamps, our Parrot Lighting uses special UV emitting phosphors to replicate the spectral pattern of sunlight with 12% of the total light output emitted as UV-A and 2.4% UV-B.

The Parrot Lighting Kit comes with the fluorescent lamp, a fixture with ballast, a sturdy acrylic bracket to secure to your cage, and clips to keep the wires away from the cage. You can link up to 10 fixtures together for multiple cages.
