Power House Treats should be on all Parrots' menus, especially for older Parrots. This balanced Omega-rich mix is all-natural and organic. There are so many benefits of providing omega in the daily diet that we can't possibly list them here. Balanced omega helps reduce inflammation, and contributes to healthy heart and brain function. Most pellet diets, except for Lafeber and recently Harrisons,,are not omega balanced and contain soya (high in Omega 6) thus not balanced and can be a source of health problems. Most of us are feeding our Parrots a pellet diet, but without more research, that may not be "complete". The diet that we think is the best may still be missing some important nutrients. The sesame seeds are beneficial for lowering cholesterol and a good source of antitoxiantioxidant and antibacterial properties. There is no downside to adding a balanced omega mix but plenty of benefits.
